Selsey Lifeboat Station

December 11, 2015

The only sunny day for what seems like weeks!  I went to the south coast to play with neutral density filters.  Selsey Lifeboat Station has been well photographed but it is a good subject to try and get some effects with filters.  This shot was taken using a 3.0 (ten stop) and a 0.9 (3 stop) filters combined.  It was a very bright day!  Settings were ISO 200, F18 and 77 secs.  The other shot was taken with 0.9 filter and settings ISO 200, F14 10 secs.  The station is going to be demolished next year as its slipway is unsuitable for modern lifeboats.
