In May we travelled to the Outer Herbrides. Leaving the rest of the UK in heatwave conditions, we passed through Glen Coe and the murk and mizzle descended. This made for atmospheric shots and troublesome visibility. The sun came out a week later whilst we were on Harris. The beaches were magnificent, but my favourite shot was taken in the rain. Scotland never promises good weather and if it had been wall to wall sunshine, I probably would have come away with many “postcard” shots. A few more sunrise/sunset images would have been good though.
