Christmas was spent with the family in Whitby. The North Yorks Moors and Coast were looking their best with plenty of sunshine. Perhaps too much blue sky from a photographer’s viewpoint, but we were not complaining. Whitby is always photogenic and we arrived to coincide with Storm Barbara which led to some spectacular seas the next day. I managed a few late afternoon shots from the Cleveland Way which were helped by smoke from controlled heather burning. Staithes is always a favourite but I only had a very little time to grab a couple of shots.
